30 Days of Supernatural
↳ Day 6 -A scene that makes you angry
This scene here makes me angrier than any other scene in the show. No matter how many times I rewatch this episode, Castiel breaking Sam’s wall fills me with so much anger.
There’s NOTHING that can be said to excuse what Castiel did to Sam. It’s the worst thing he could have done and something I will never be able to forgive. This is not a simple mistake. This is not “Ooops, sorry I lied to you and I made mistakes.” Castiel had a choice and he chose to break Sam’s wall - fully knowing what that means. He was not drugged or whatever, he just broke Sam. Castiel damned Sam to an eternity of remembering every single torture and abuse that happened to him in the pit. And as if it’s not horrible enough that Castiel broke Sam’s wall, he also blackmails (and yes, this is blackmail and not a promise) Dean. For Castiel, Sam is nothing but a pawn in this moment. (And the only reason why Sam is still alive is because he loves his brother more than anything else in the world and leaving Dean alone to live on earth is worse than welcoming hell into his mind.)
Some people love to say how family doesn’t end with blood and how family forgives each other everything but this is not what family does to each other. Family doesn’t use you as blackmail material. Family would never hurt you in such a way that you can never recover from. Family just doesn’t do this. I can’t even really describe how angry this whole scene makes me.

This is gonna get me a lot of hate but I’m prepared for it. Does anyone not realize that Castiel wasn’t in his right...
